High-Level Plan for PL-200.
PL-100 was completed recently, but the exam didn’t go as I expected. If you are interested to know more about how this started, click here to read.
Even though I planned for the exam, this wasn’t enough as I didn’t do well with some of the modules in the exam, especially analyzing the data. Yes, you know already by now, it is Power BI. This time for PL-200, I would like to prepare well so there would be fewer surprises.
Systems/Process instead of goals
If you know me for some time, I am a big fan of systems instead of goals. I always believe if we follow the systems the goals will be achieved and we will be happier because we can continue to follow the systems. Whereas with goals, once you reach the goal, the happiness doesn’t last long.
If you want to learn more about systems instead of goals, please read Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Below is the 8 step process I am planning to follow. Please do let me know if you have any suggestions/feedback in the comment section below.
Step 1: Read the skills measured https://lnkd.in/gDfR46q
Step 2: Read and practice the MS learn recommended lessons here
https://lnkd.in/gQsbUGC
Step 3: Evaluate skills using measure-up https://lnkd.in/g9QDnmR
Step 4: Estimate the approximate time required and this could few days to weeks from now and schedule the exam.
Step 5: Block time in the calendar to prepare for each topic that needs more attention as per assessment results in step 3.
Step 6: Add each topic to the calendar and prepare. Also, do the corresponding labs available and do a sample project.
Step 7: Re-evaluate the skills using measure-up, repeat step 6.
Step 8: Write the exam as per the scheduled date.
